In line with its vision, the Luxasia Foundation partners charitable organisations throughout the region to provide underprivileged women with beauty skills that aim to make a sustainable difference in their lives, and those of their families. The Foundation provides make-up and nail courses for these ladies to equip them with the necessary skills to enter the beauty industry. The Foundation also provides on-the-job training and assists with job placement of these ladies upon graduation.
Luxasia is passionate about grooming the leaders of tomorrow through scholarships and awards. Some of these include:
SME – SPRING EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP (EDS)
As part of SPRING’s Business Leaders Initiative, the EDS was launched in partnership with local enterprises to nurture young dynamic individuals into leaders of tomorrow. Together, Luxasia and SPRING select and fund outstanding pre-university students and undergraduates, by supporting their full-time studies till graduation. These select scholars will be accorded the opportunity to work in Luxasia, where they can anticipate an invaluable experience by spearheading new and exciting business ventures locally, and regionally.
LUXASIA VIE AWARDS
The Luxasia VIE Award is designed to identify top undergraduate students who have shown themselves to possess Vitality (V) and Innovativeness (I), laced with an Enterprising Spirit (E). Candidates are selected based on their academic achievements; involvement in student and community activities which showcase their outstanding leadership qualities.
In 2000, Luxasia decided to undertake the St Joseph’s Home & Hospice as our beneficiary. All our Teams are intimately involved with this endeavour. We take the time to clean and refurbish, organise concerts and parties, to inject a bit of wonderful, back into the lives of the elderly. The time spent with them never fails to bring a smile to our Team’s faces, and hopefully, we’ve brought more than a smile back to theirs.
